Who Should Be Tiger’s Next Instructor?

It will certainly create a lot of buzz when we find out who Tiger is going to use as his next swing coach. And just who might that be?

How about Butch? No they don’t like each other and their egos would never let it happen. Leadbetter? Not really, he gave up the high profile instructor roll a long time ago. Rick Smith? Are you kidding me, Tiger use Phil’s cast off! I don’t know about you, but after that, who really is there?

I’m sure a lot of top instructors are pissed at me at this point, but you just don’t hear consistently about anyone after Butch these days, unless Furyk is willing to loan out his dad. And Tiger being a high profile guy, needs a high profile instructor with an ego to match his own.

I’ve got the solution….. NICK FALDO.

Now before you say I’ve lost my mind consider a few things. If they collaborated, it might be one hell of an interesting outcome. Nick, since he remade his swing decades ago, has become a technical junkie. He understands modern golf swings as well as anyone, just listen to his commentary during tournaments. And he certainly doesn’t lack self-confidence to stand up to Tiger and tell him NO.

Of course the one big problem, besides prior commitments, are egos. Who’s going to lower himself to make the first move? They’re not exactly bussom buddies. But, their paring would be great theater, who knows, they might even create a new ‘standard’ for the modern golf swing. Wouldn’t that be a feather in each of their caps!

Can Tiger remake his swing once more? Can he give up some of his power persona and start hitting fairways and maybe spare his body more injury? Hey Nick, Tiger – please, someone be the bigger person, send the other a text and let’s get this thing going! Inquiring minds want to know.
