A “Secret” Method to Increase Your Golf Swing Speed
Speed training is essential if you are looking to hit the ball farther. Here is a very “secret” golf swing speed training method that a number of tour pros are using today.
Not that long ago I wrote a piece on the distance gains I have received from regularly swinging the Momentus Speed Woosh in the article, Add Serious Yards with the Momentus “Swing Whoosh” – so I’m always on the lookout for new “cutting-edge” strategies and methods to bring to our GolfDash readers.
I found the video below and thought it contained some amazing information. Probably not 1 in 10 people will do this but if tour players are using it and seeing substantial gains in their driving distance then it may be something to look into.
I won’t give away what’s revealed in the video but it does fall under the same general training principle as the “Speed Woosh” – that is, muscle “confusion” and utilizing (and training) your fast-twitch muscle fibers.
Of course, information is only useful when you act on it and you’ll never increase your distance without putting some time and effort into training your physical body. And if you’re serious about increasing your distance in your golf game then maybe this post provides the *exact* information you need!

It’s an interesting way of increasing your distance and clubhead speed. I guess the challenge is finding the heaver, lighter and middle range driver to do all of the testing on.
Once a week practice seems very reasonable and something most golfers should be able to achieve.
Troy – you can go to any local clubfitter and they can add weight (or remove it) from dirt cheap clubs you find on ebay or around your local area. Should be a fairly easy thing to do. Of course, the hard part is just doing it!

Does anyone have the same problem as me? – I just can’t hit the fairway
So why do you think that’s happening? Do you miss the fairway left or right. That will give you an indication of what to work on.

This has been very helpful.
There are four power components within the golf swing; rotary, lift, throw, and angular power. Improving these four power components within the golf swing can lead to increases in clubhead speed, ball speeds, and distance. Part of the process of improving these power components of the swing is improving both the strength and force outputs of the body. This is achieved via golf fitness training.
