Where to play, thanks for the feedback. Sometimes when it's not your home turf it's easy to make mistakes on the names - shame on me! As far as Panmure and Monifieth we may be splitting hairs or perhaps a different perception on different sides of the pond. Neither of those courses is in the 'dunes' like Dornoch, Aberdeen, or Cruden Bay. Yes they are flat and layed out in a similiar fashion, have pot bunkers and you can hit a lot of chip and runs. If that makes them 'links' courses then so be it. However, to the traveler from the States, they are going to feel different - not worse, just different. They are all great courses. The article is a review of Scottish golf. I never said it was a complete review of every Scottish course. My intent was to get more people here to see how easy it is to travel to Scotland, not pay too much, play fabulous courses and enjoy the wonderful Scottish people.

Re your comments on Scottish links.
It is not Morey -it is Moray
It is not Fraserburg - it is Fraserburgh
Panmure and Monifieth are NOT partly parkland.

I think you have underestimated the quality of R Dornoch.

Your 'review of Scottish links courses covers about 7 or 8 of them. As there are about 70 18 hole links courses in Scotland then this is hardly a review.
