The shank is the worst shot in golf bar none. I once had a guy tell me he’d swap his duck hook for a shank and I told him he did not know what he asking for!

There’s no worse place to shank that in the UK. One of the biggest brands of unirla makers goes by the name of Armitage Shanks (you can Google this and check it!).

You come off the course having shanked your way around, you go into the Gents and staring you in the face is the word “shanks”.

Agh !
