Today is opening day of the esteemed golf tournament,
The Memorial, designed and hosted by the great
Jack Nicklaus.
There is always something about this tournament that is special. I think it is just the great presence of Jack and his amazing legacy that permeates this tournament. Sometimes it's hard to believe, now that Jack is getting older, of all the amazing shots and golf heroics that have rippled through him.
And it's fun having the latest superstars interact with him. Of course, with Tiger (as usual) it's a bit different. He is a modern day legend and the heir to Jack's golf throne.
But when they get together there ...
I love listening to peoples who are masters of a particular skill.
Now (to me anyway) Ben Crenshaw is the quintessential putter. I can watch him putt time and time again and not tire of it. His putting stroke is as smooth as silk.

He shares some great tips, particularly about grip pressure. Listen and improve your putting!
PS: Just listening will not improve your putting. You actually have to go out and practice and integrate some of the tips Ben shares. If you make a commitment to do this your putting definitely WILL improve!...
Check out the short (under 5 minute) video on Lee Trevino who, in my mind anyway, is one of the great unsung heroes of the game.
There is excellent commentary from Peter Kostis and Butch Harmon on Lee's unique swing. Plus you get to see that amazing swing time after time in this excellent compilation.
Note: listen to the "stickiness" of the shot when he hits the ball. You can "hear" the solidness of his contact. It's pretty amazing.

Like a lot of folks I have not really seen this view of Tigers swing before. Check it out and let me know what you think. Anything in particular did you notice from this view?
You have to agree this swing has GOT to be in the running for "world's worst golf swing." It's really amazing to me that a former professional athlete like Charles Barkley can be this bad. I mean he did look *fairly* coordinated out on the basketball court.
Anyway, I could watch this over and over and still chuckle. Further, it's oddly reminiscent of my GolfDash partner John's swing *grin*
Maybe we'll make this a regular feature here. You can even send us the worst swings you find. Either on the web or (God forbid) at your local club.
