I recently came across some very unique golf socks. Yes, golf socks! You might say, "Hey, what's the big deal, golf socks are golf socks" well, maybe . . or maybe not . . .
The socks are called
ecosox and they are produced from bamboo of all things. Somehow the image of bamboo and socks initially didn't really appeal to me. I just keep thinking of splinters and the hard core of the actual bamboo reed.

I just received notification from the British Open folks that they are now selling official 2009 Open merchandise online. For those of you who like mementos from majors, this might be the year to get a nice shirt, hat or ball marker from Turnberry. They look cool when you're walking around your club and no one has to know that you weren't actually there in person.
