Bill Reynolds On Tiger Woods

reynoldstiger Bill Reynolds On Tiger WoodsIf you’re like me, you’re probably a little tired of Tiger Woods stories except if they are directly golf related. However, every once in awhile someone really gets the big picture and writes a nice piece.

I’ve mentioned Bill Reynolds, a Providence Rhode Island sports writer before. Bill is not your average sports page reporter. When you want something more cerebral, he’s usually the guy who delivers.

He wrote a really spectacular piece about Tiger Woods, the wunderkind golfer of the last decade, and how all the pieces fit together for us the sports/golf fan. To whet your appetite I quote Mr. Reynolds,

”In the end, though, the tragedy of Tiger Woods is not the damage he’s done to his image, or even the pain he’s caused his wife. It is that all he is now is a golfer, as great as he is, and that’s all he’s ever going to be, no matter how many more green jackets he wins, or how much more money he wins, or how many more Nike commercials he does.”

I urge you to read the entire piece – it’s a very nice piece of work! click here

Hey Mobilechamps – glad you liked it – John is great at finding (and highlighting) good golf pieces. He really would rival Johnny Miller as a NO BS announcer!
